Health Information Technology
This program is designed to meet the increasing need for professionally trained Health Information Technicians in acute care hospitals, clinics, long term care, and other health care facilities as well as governmental and private agencies. The two-year A.S. degree program provides emphasis on record storage and retrieval, quantitative analysis, coding and abstracting, legal aspects of health records, health care statistics, supervision of department personnel, and an introduction to quality assessment, utilization review, and risk management.
