Human Services
The Human Services and Social Welfare program is designed to prepare for employment or retraining in private and public community service agencies such as welfare departments, child development and adult, including elderly, programs and other human service organizations and institutions. Students learn the skills and knowledge necessary to work as paraprofessionals or professional aids under the supervision of workers with professional degrees. Completion of the Certificates of Achievement also provides a basis for further academic preparation for university social work, gerontology, and other human service professional degrees.
